The practice of Hatha Yoga includes classic yoga postures (asana) and breath techniques (pranayama), for the purpose of balancing, purifying and strengthening the body, mind and spirit.  Yoga is an ancient, highly sophisticated art and science used to create self-awareness and inner peace.  The word "Hatha" means "Ha" - Sun, and "tha" - Moon, and the word "Yoga" means Union.  Practicing Hatha Yoga and meditation creates a balanced union between the body, mind and spirit and solves problems of unhappiness, restlessness, emotional imbalances and hyperactivity.  It promotes harmony on all levels of existence, for example, physical anatomy, mental, emotional and psychospiritual.  The body heals the mind as does the mind heal the body.  As the body becomes more flexible so does the mind and as the mind becomes more flexible we are then able to enjoy new experiences, challenges and opportunities in our day to day lives.....which leads to....
